• Optimizing Converged Networks is one of four courses leading to the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) designation. CCNP: Optimizing Converged networks introduces Cisco Networking Academy Program students to optimizing and providing effective QOS techniques in converged networks operating voice, wireless and security applications. Topics include implementing a VOIP network, implementing QoS on converged networks, specific IP QoS mechanisms for implementing the DiffServ QoS model, AutoQoS, wireless security and basic wireless management.

  • This course teaches students how to build a remote access network to interconnect central sites to branch offices and home office/telecommuters. Once the network is built, the course further teaches students how to control access to the central site, as well as maximizes bandwidth utilization over the remote links. The class is designed to prepare students to pursue the Cisco CCNP examination.
